Summer Creek Library Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with Loteria!


 Kristal Schneider, Librarian and Jadira Bernal, Media Specialist enliven the Summer Creek Library with engaging teaching programs such as Loteria.

Loteria, known to many as Mexican Bingo, is a traditional card game that has been passed down many generations. Although the game originated in Italy, it was brought into the Mexican culture via Spain. “Loteria” is the Spanish word for lottery.




A packed library celebrated Hispanic Heritage month with Loteria.




Learning Spanish Vocabulary while playing Loteria and winning Mexican candy prizes.

River Pines Elementary Students Learn POG Competencies in the Library!

Students in the River Pines Elementary Library Learn POG competencies thanks to 
Quana Living, Media Specialist.


River Pines Students learn:
Communication
Personal Responsibility
Critical Thinking
And Global Citizenship in the Library


Quana Living reads Rubia and the Three Osos in English and Spanish. The students love learning new Spanish words.
